Having lunch with Bernie while we get the oil changed. It's cold and rainy out right now, so the wood burning stove provides a warm welcome. I just finished a 10 day work week so this beer tastes extra good right now. Next stop. Vancouver B.C. It's Bernies first trip to Canada. Yay!

Heading back home to Portland this afternoon. This trip to AZ was unplanned and bittersweet. It's always good to see my family. Just wish it was under different circumstances. My Aunt is home with her family and dogs where she wants to be and I had the honor to give her a great big hug this morning before I left for Tucson. Amy, Rusty, Todd, Roxie, Tyler, Devon, & Dustin it was so good to see you all.

I'm sitting here with my Aunt Diane in her hospital room finishing up my research paper that was due yesterday. I'm very grateful to be here with her, and my family. I'm thankful for having professors who extended my due dates and for an employer and colleagues who are incredibly supportive in situations like this.
