Let’s change the world

“Because the world is ruled by hawks and arms dealers and minority phobias. “

Glenn Close - Le Divorce

An underrated movie full of wit and wisdom. This quote from Le Divorce resonated with me today. As we struggle through the insanity of American politics, let’s change this world together and make it better one good deed at a time.

Mom

Today would be my Mom’s 64th birthday. She was a remarkable woman. Compassionate, friendly, loving, imperfect, yet wonderful. She was my mom, and I was incredibly lucky to have ended up with her.

She surrounds me from time to time and I’m confident she was there watching over me when I battled pneumonia earlier this year.

She’s gone to soon. I don’t know why and I’ll never understand why we have to suffer this way in this world. But I do know I was loved, am loved, and I’m all the better for it.

So tonight I send a toast out to my mother. And I know wherever she has gone she can still feel the love we all have for her. Because I believe, love never dies.

Bifocals

A significant milestone has occurred. I have entered into the bifocal club. I ordered my first pair today in San Francisco at Spectacle. They had some really cool titanium Mykita's. It's so hard to find frames to fit my huge noggin. I'm thankful they had them.
